We understand that organising a wedding can be complicated, so we have put together a list of our most frequently asked questions.

Function rooms

How many guests can your function rooms hold?

Can you please email through a seating plan?
This  depends on the number of guests and the location in the hotel where the reception would take place. Depending on the number of guests, we have 4 private rooms or 1 main restaurant which would be exclusive for you. It also depends on how many guests you would like at each table.

Is there a venue hire fee?

Venue hire fees are included in the wedding packages, however we can create a unique package to suit your needs, which would be done with an individual item costing.  Individual room hire only would be as follows:

• Boardroom = $500.00
• Crowne I     = $750.00
• Crowne III  =  $750.00
• Crowne II    =  $1000.00
• Threesixty  =  $1000.00

Do you offer midweek specials?

Wedding packages are all the same price throughout the year, accommodation rates change due to availability and seasonality

What’s included in the venue hire?

• Exclusive use of the desired room
• Room and table setup
• Tables with linens, cutlery, glassware, napkin, fishbowl centerpieces
• Linens (white & black)
• Chair covers are additional
• Staffing

Do you provide music?

We have inbuilt sound systems in all the function rooms and restaurant which you can connect your own IPod or laptop.

What color napkins do you provide?

Black and white. Depending on your color theme we can contact suppliers to see if they have the color of your choice

How much is it to set up a dance floor?

$12 per square meter + GST + delivery as this is supplied through an AV supplier

Do you supply chair covers, if so is there an extra cost and what colors?

Depending on the package you choose it can come with our without chair covers and sash. The cost would be approximately $10.00 per chair and again we would have to contact suppliers depending on your color theme

What do the centre pieces look like and also can I arrange some flowers that match the bridal party to be incorporated?

Our centre pieces are simple yet classic. They are glass bowls and can be described as a fishbowl shape. We typically use ferns, candles or stones. Flowers can be ordered and we can recommend local suppliers, but because everyone has a different idea of flowers, we recommend the bridal party to organize these directly with the supplier.

Accommodation

Can you please send me a price list for your rooms / accommodation? If our guests would like to stay at your hotel would there be a group rate offered? Could you do special room rates for our guests?

Room rates are based on a number of different factors – time of year, size of group, availability in the hotel. If you can give us an indication of the above, we can provide you with an indicative cost. We understand that weddings can be expensive and we do our best to offer the best rate to your group.

Do you have a honeymoon suite?

Crowne Plaza Queenstown has one Crowne Suite. The bride and groom get a complimentary night at the hotel on their wedding night including full buffet breakfast

Food & Beverage

Do you have a BYO drinks option?

No

Is there an additional charge for cakeage?

No

Can our wedding cake take the place of the dessert option on the menu?

Yes, we are more than happy to do this

What age is the cut off for children?

0-5 complimentary 6-12 50% off – This is for the wedding reception and meals

Do you supply fairy lights? Is there an extra cost?

We don’t have any on site but we are able to contact suppliers or you can bring your own. If we ordered them in, it would be at an additional cost.

Is it possible to send a box of items / collateral down before the wedding?

Yes, we have plenty of storage at the hotel.
